Remembrance Day Ceremony
Featured
Our annual Remembrance Day Ceremony is taking a slightly different form as we adapt to COVID protocols. A little critical thinking and creativity by Mr. Grantham and his class (with technical support from Mrs. Smith) has brought our traditional assembly into a virtual format. Families and community members are welcome to watch the production from home.

The virtual ceremony includes music, readings, guest speakers, and a shadow dance to interpret the feelings of those who support our soldiers. Please note that there is a simple black screen and no images for the last song as this is a time for personal reflection.
This video will be available from November 10th at 7:00am through November 16th at midnight. - 28:54 Remembrance Day 2021 Featured Uploaded Nov 09, 2021

Charlie Wilcox Project
Featured
The following presentation is not intended to be viewed by students in Kindergarten to grade 3. Furthermore, adult guidance is recommended for intermediate students as the content includes visual, audio and thematic content related to war. Specifically, the video includes simulated sounds of guns firing and bombs exploding. There are also archived photographs showing battlefield conditions of World War 1, and actors dramatizing intense scenes.

100 Years Project
Featured
The song 100 Years was written and performed by the band Five For Fighting (actually, he is a solo artist named John Ondrasik).

Our class created a video around the idea that our lives have three stages: beginning, middle, late. The class movie shows pictures from the students' very young years (so cute!) and scenes of them around the school this year. Imbedded in the school photographs are clues as to some of the topics that we studied this year (ie. racism, goal setting, skeletal system...hockey!). A consistent theme throughout the movie is that everyone should have a passion, and they should set goals to help them achieve their dreams. As one grade 6 student reflected: “I learned that my skills are not static, anything can be improved."
Enjoy and “Game on”!
