Remembrance Day

Mr. Zigar's students worked very hard over the last weeks to prepare the striking backdrop for the gym wall, the play and props for the assembly, and the script for the trench exhibits. During the day, each class was invited to the Collab Space to learn about trench warfare and the technologies used at that time. The student tour guides were knowledgeable, well spoken and responsible. All the students' learning was visible in their excitement and feelings of pride for a job well done. Many staff and parents commented that the timing and content of the assembly were just right for the children in the audience. Thank you Mr. Zigar for encouraging and supporting your students to take the lead!

Happy Diwali

Saturday we take time to remember and Sunday many people around the world will celebrate Diwali, a celebration of light and diversity. Our Seamless Day kids made diya candles to celebrate the festival of lights.d

GIFT SHOP DONATIONS

dIt's time to start thinking about donations of new or gently used items for the Holiday Gift Shop coming up in December!

Starting mid November, we will have a Gift Shop box near the office for you to donate items.

Students will be able to purchase gifts for their family members and have them wrapped for the holiday season. This is always an exciting day for students and volunteers. Items will be 0.25-$1, and all money collected will be donated to the Squamish Hospital Foundation.

New or gently used items may include household items(ie. mugs, platters, etc), ornaments, books, toys etc. We are also collecting wrapping paper and gift bags so the students are able to wrap the presents.

Thank you for your continued support at Brackendale Elementary. If you would like to volunteer for this always exciting event, please email [email protected]
