Featuring Mrs Fieldhouse's K/1 Class

Kindergarten and Grade One students have been working hard to create a collaborative mural that demonstrates their learning about local habitats and ecosystems, and how animals survive the winter in and around Squamish.

Students worked in small groups to plan and create four habitat areas that exist in the Sea to Sky area: mountain, forest, wetland/estuary and ocean habitats. They each chose an animal to paint and put into its appropriate habitat. They then thought about what their animal does to survive during winter, and recorded their thoughts on a speech bubble for their animal.

They worked very hard on this collaborative effort, and are proud of their learning! Pop into our classroom if you’d like to see this display of learning.

Writing Day December 1st

Next Friday is Writing Day from 1:30-2:30pm.

Bring your Christmas cards, favourite writing paper, thank you cards, etc and come write with your kids. Always a wonderful event to start off the season!

We are currently filling up the tables with vendors and planning lots of fun special activities during the fair.

Brackendale Elementary Holiday Craft Fair

Date: Friday, December 15th

Time: 5-8pm

Adult crafters: $40per table

Students: $20 per table

We are looking forward to having you join us for a fun evening at the school!

There will be lots of fun activities and some vendors set up to enjoy an evening out with the family!!

GIFT SHOP DONATIONS

Time to drop off donations of new or gently used items for the Holiday Gift Shop coming up December 19th.

There is a Gift Shop Box in red and white across from the office for you to drop off items!

Students will be able to purchase gifts for their family members and have them wrapped for the holiday season. This is always an exciting day for students and volunteers. Items will be 0.25-$1, and all money collected will be donated to the Squamish Hospital Foundation.

New or gently used items may include household items(ie. mugs, platters, etc), ornaments, books, toys etc. We are also collecting wrapping paper and gift bags so the students are able to wrap the presents.
