Thank you PAC for bringing Yoga instructor, Elizabeth in from Yoga Buggy to come teach us Yoga in our gym classes. We're not sure we've ever seen the gym so calm, quiet and peaceful before ;)

SPRING BOOK FAIR- APRIL 16-17

We're excited to announce our Spring Book Fair April 16^th and 17th! Join us in the library to celebrate literacy and support our classroom and school library.

Did you know that for each book sold, a percentage of the proceeds go towards new books for the BRE library?

Show your support by volunteering through the PAC, purchasing a book for your child's classroom or buying for your home library!

We hope to see you there!

Brackendale PAC Needs YOU!!!

The PAC executive committee is volunteer-run, as are all of the PAC organized events. The committee fundraises to bring extra-curricular activities, sports, events, new equipment, hot lunch programs, and much more to our school, which would otherwise not happen. Some of the current PAC executives have been in their roles for the last 4-5 years, and some are ready to pass the torch or have kids who are leaving the school at the end of this year or next. We are therefore seeking new executive members for the 24/25 school year.

New members will be voted in for a 1-year term at the AGM on May 7th, 2024. The commitment is 1 meeting per month, along with various administrative or organizational duties, depending on the role. There will be some members staying on in their roles, who can offer support and guidance to anyone new.

The following positions will not be filled by current PAC executive members:

President
Secretary
Social Media Coordinator

We also need new LEAD volunteers to take over from existing volunteers, for the following annual fundraising programs

Hot Lunch Coordinator (sharing with existing coordinator)
Purdy’s Fundraising Coordinator
Mabel Labels Coordinator
Lost & Found Coordinator

Upcoming PAC Meeting: (second week after Spring Break)

Location: School Library

All parents are caregivers are encouraged to attend

Complimentary babysitting available on-site

Come and meet the PAC executive, and hear about all the great events and activities planned for this spring!!

Family Yard Sale on Saturday, April 27th

This will be held in the parking lot like last year and open to the whole community. This is a great way to get the community together and get everyone into spring cleaning mode. This will be a rain or shine event, if needed we can move into the gym. Table spaces are $25.00 each. This includes table/area to set up your goods plus advertising in the community.

Come sell your stuff! OR if you or your child have a craft that they want to sell this is a great little entrepreneurial experience ;)

Brackendale Community Yard Sale Registration

Please fill out the registration form to secure your table ASAP so we can plan accordingly!

We are looking to fill volunteer roles to help organize this event, ideally TWO per time slot.

Setup ~ 8:30-9:30am
Coffee/Donut Station ~ 9:30-12:30pm & 12:30-2:30pm
Teardown/Clean Up ~ 2:00-3:00pm

We are also excited to announce the Spring Dance is coming back on May 24th, 2024.

We need TWO lead volunteers to start organizing/planning the fun family event this year. Would be a fun event to plan with a friend or 2!

Information is passed on from last year’s organizers, it is all straightforward and laid out. PAC will assist with needs, arranging volunteers for set up and day of, as well as any funding. Organizers get to pick the theme, organize decorations and activities for the evening. We have food trucks arranged for the event already. If you can help, please let us know!
